TLDR!
Here’s what to expect from this month’s update:

November 2024 Accountability
I’m deliberately keeping this update short!
2025 has arrived, and I’m planning to get a lot of writing done.
Firstly, I’m making progress on “The Challenge”, which will DEFINITELY be added to the short story anthology. The artist is hard at work on the cover, and I look forward to being able to do a cover reveal soon.
Second, I have a completed outline for “Of Wolves & Men”, and am going to make a concerted effort to write every day. The idea is to write at least a few words every day that I work, and use my days off (and vacation time) to write as much as possible. I might not beat my old NaNoWriMo record of 4,231 words in one day, but it’s not a bad thing to aim for.
Thirdly, I’m going to start actively promoting my work as we get closer to release dates.
And finally, I’m going to start putting together bonus posts and previews for paid subscribers. These will probably be intermittent, but will give an insight into the Shadows Over Seattle world.
Bookish events for January 2024
January 9th - National Word Nerd Day - Words are the basis of language, writing and spoken communication. But some of us have a broader vocabulary, or understanding of the history of words… This is our day!
January 18th - National Thesaurus Day - Peter Mark Roget’s birthday, inventor of the thesaurus. I know that mine is well used and loved, and an invaluable resource for finding just the right word.
Feel free to share any local book-related events in the comments.
