Meet the cast of Shadows Over Seattle
I thought I'd share some behind-the-scenes material from my time writing the "Shadows Over Seattle: Prequels" stories.
TLDR!

Character Profiles help with keeping details of characters consistent
Have you ever wondered how writers are able to keep details about plot, setting, and characters consistent?
We write a lot of notes! Seriously, it’s that simple for most of us. For me, that’s hand-written notes on index cards. These are either kept in a nice box with tabs separating different groups of cards, or attached to character profile sheets.
Why attach cards to the profile sheets when I could file them with everything else?
Because sometimes, I want to remember things about the characters that I might not have already let readers in on. Those petty little secrets, the lies they’ve told, their personal shame, or how they’d react if they learned something about another character.
As I reveal the secret, I make notes of how and where I revealed it, and the writing goes on…
Today I’m sharing some of that work…
I turned some of the more commonly known facts about some of the characters you’ll meet into profile sheets. I’ve kept to the basics, because there are things that I want you to discover for yourselves.
The character images were created using Metahuman, and are as close as I could make them to how I see the characters. Considering the limitations of the app, these are really just very rough, and will be replaced in time with proper character art. With that in mind, comments are welcomed!
If you have trouble opening these images individually, check out this post, which has individual images instead of a gallery.

Every single character above appears in one, or more, stories in the upcoming anthology. So, if a particular character intrigues you, you can freely jump right in with their stories.
But, you can’t do that without a copy of the book, so why not pre-order your copy now, and get it on release day? (April 30th 2025).
Well, that was interesting... I didn't consider how galleries might show up in emails, so I'll be posting a revised gallery after work.
