BrightBlood: An Urban Fantasy Arcanaverse Novel (Vampire Assassin Book 1)
Alexandra Balarescu, once the deadliest assassin in a world hidden from human eyes, now finds herself a blank slate. Hunted by the very organization she once served, she must piece together the shattered fragments of her past. But each recovered memory unravels a conspiracy that threatens to topple the precarious balance between humans and the supernatural.
Caught between warring vampire factions, cunning Fae, and her own resurfacing humanity, Alexandra must navigate a minefield of allegiances. With each revelation, she grapples not just with who she was, but with who she’s becoming.
As memories and dangers close in, Alexandra faces an impossible choice: embrace the monster within or risk everything for a chance at redemption. But in a world where time is measured in heartbeats and power is counted in blood, can she afford the luxury of humanity?
Dive into “Brightblood,” the explosive first installment of the Vampire Assassin series and a cornerstone of the expansive Arcanaverse Saga. Here, in the space between human and supernatural worlds, every alliance has a price, and the line between predator and prey shifts with each revelation.
Will Alexandra reclaim her past, or forge a new future in blood?
Redemption's Blade: An Urban Fantasy Arcanaverse Novel (Vampire Assassin Book 2)
For a year, Alexandra Balarescu has stalked Chicago’s streets as a predator, carving out a fragile existence in the city’s supernatural underworld. Alone by choice, bound by blood and vengeance, she’s made peace with being a weapon without a cause.
But peace never lasts.
An old betrayal resurfaces, dragging her back into a game where the stakes are higher than ever. To win, she’ll need more than just skill—she’ll need allies. A reluctant truce with a vampire lord. A rogue sorcerer with his own agenda. And a weapon unlike any she’s wielded before—a blade forged to cut through magic, through deception, and through the lies she’s been told about her own past.
At the heart of it all is Zara, the cunning Fae whose web of manipulation runs deeper than Alexandra ever imagined. Unraveling the truth will force her to make an impossible choice: destroy the enemy before her… or risk everything to save what’s left of the man she once knew.
With time running out and war brewing in the shadows, Alexandra must decide—will she be the blade that carves a path to justice, or will redemption cost her everything?
Redemption’s Blade is a relentless blend of supernatural intrigue, razor-sharp action, and high-stakes suspense—the gripping second installment in the Vampire Assassin series.
If you enjoy these two books, or urban fantasy series that share an ever-growing background mythology, be sure to check out the other books in the Arcanaverse.
